United Way Delhi and Dr Naresh Trehan launches #MillionPledges campaign tourge citizens for responsible celebrations during the festive season. United Way Delhi impulses public to rejoice Diwali sensibly.
New Delhi, November 12, 2020: United Way Delhi, organization operational to improve lives in a quantifiable, accessible and bearable way, has propelled the campaign #MillionPledges under the creativity “Yudh-Corona Ke Virudh”, to bring awareness among the public during this festive season. The campaign entreaties to all to endure all safety methods and help the Government in avert the blowout of COVID-19 Pandemic. #MillionPledges is a collective measure of key stakeholders with lead partner United Way Delhi.
Dr Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director, Medanta, has vowed his support for the foundation and is on-board as an ambassador for the movement. Through the campaign, United Way requests to corporate partners and individuals to initiate their support and contribute towards solidifying the crucial healthcare structure and directly support brave healthcare and frontline workforces.
The #MillionPledges movement is intended to generate alertness amongst citizens to rejoice the ongoing festivities in a responsible way in view of the number of Corona cases in the India which are on an upsurge again. The campaign will have numerous touch points where people can promise to rejoice taking necessary precautions. Aimed at a huge outreach, netizens are requested to make promise on social media using the hashtag #IPledge4CoVIDsafeFestivities.
The campaign is being executed in connotation with Literacy India, working persistently to support the education of deprived women and children. Radio Partner, 92.7 Big FM is supporting the #MillionPledges campaign and reaching out to the masses emphasising the need of the hour to evade the feast of coronavirus.

United Way Delhi impulses public to rejoice Diwali sensibly – United Way Delhi has been functioning persistently since the onset of the pandemic to support the Government’s initiatives during the COVID Pandemic. Effective supply of crucial items took place in various cities and states including Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Chennai, Pune, Baroda, and Uttarakhand. United Way Delhi supported key interference areas such as Hospital Support Packages, Frontline Workers Kits, and Family Essentials Kits with Food and hygiene materials, Shelter Home Kits have been successfully done by United Way since the beginning of the lockdown.
