The Fatality Of Ignoring Sexual Dysfunctions.
When such conditions are not discussed or dealt with, it can be quite detrimental. More than 20% of the male population has faced some nature of a sexual issue, but not all of them seek help. Society is not sympathetic, and it is treated as a taboo that should not bring up in a conversation. But it is unfortunate because many sex-related conditions are treatable today and some experienced doctors can assist and treat these issues. For example, there are blood tests available to detect erectile dysfunction and clinics to go to for further treatment because ED (Erectile dysfunction) can be early warning signs for certain cardiovascular diseases in the future. If someone sees a change in libido, it can be a hormonal problem that can affect sex drive and lead to infertility issues. There are also certain studies which show that if one loses his sense of smell, anosmia, then it means that his testicles are not working effectively.
Several people experience psychological issues like depression, anxiety, and stress which can lead to fear of performing during intercourse. It adversely affects a person’s mental health and could get worse with age. There are many other causes for sexual problems like diabetes, spinal surgery, etc. Our lifestyles also influence these conditions as people who have a healthy diet and exercise regularly have improved blood circulation, and frequent smokers stand the risk of more dysfunctions.
Today, treatment methods include pills, implants, hormonal treatment, and injection therapy. Hormonal treatment increases testosterone levels in the man’s body, which makes the pills effective. Apart from this, the internet allows you to retrieve information within seconds, and we should use it to educate ourselves and normalize sex-related conversations. STDS (Sexually transmitted diseases) like chlamydia, syphilis and genital herpes usually have very non-specific symptoms and are often detected as other illnesses. Therefore, it is necessary to address any discomfort or pain as some of these STDs can create havoc and have fatal consequences.
Proper communication with the partner is needed to identify problems and to go to a doctor. It is important to note that ignoring sexual problems does not make them go away and delaying treatment makes the condition get worse. We must stop shunning these problems and shine some serious light on them as they affect most of us and the people around us. So let’s get over the embarrassment and talk openly to our doctors to live healthier and save lives.
