Shree Mahavir Jain Hospital in collaboration with Thane Municipal Corporation organized a Mammography camp for female police personnel
Affordable and Quality healthcare is everybody’s fundamental right. Shree Mahavir Jain Hospital holds this purpose true and is striving to live by it by organizing free camps for the warriors of the society. On 10th March 2021, Shree Mahavir Jain Hospital in collaboration with Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) conducted a Mammography screening camp for women police personnel of TMC.
A mammography screening helps in early and timely detection of breasts related diseases and breast cancer. It is one of the primary stages for the treatment and effective management of breast cancer and other breasts diseases. Early detection is the key to diagnosing cancer before it’s too late. The camp was free of cost for all the female police personnel.
“Women in India face serious health concerns which ultimately affect the progress of the nation. But due to hesitation and lack of awareness, a lot of women do not visit the doctor. This ignorance leads to magnification of their diseases thus putting their health at risk.Such camps definitely mitigate an impending crisis of a woman being unaware about her health issues.” said Dr. Sunil Katkade, Chief Medical Director & Advisor and Sr. Anaesthesiologist & Intensivist.
