‘Safe OPDs’ measures implemented across Apollo clinicsBangalore, 18th June, 2020: Apollo Clinics a renowned chain of primary healthcare clinics during these unprecedented times, is taking stringent protective’s measures to ensure a safe patient experience in a COVID-19 safe facility. Apollo Clinic has announced Safe OPDs (outpatient departments) catering to those who visit for diagnostic services and avail consultations. This effort addresses their safety concerns through comprehensive measures for protection and disinfection.

The Safe OPD initiative is another step towards creating a superlative patient experience and assurance of safety. We have put in place elaborate measures aimed at dispelling the worries of those visiting Apollo Clinic during the pandemic.”

‘Safe OPDs’ measures implemented across Apollo clinicsThe Safe OPD measures include mandatory screening of patients for temperature. Safe OPD measures are followed as per guidelines from the ICMR: glass partitions/screens at the registration area, with mandatory social distancing of 6 feet; availability of sanitizers at multiple points across the clinics; strict gatekeeping rules with separate entry and exit points for patients with symptomatic and asymptomatic conditions; single entry and exit points for patients and clinic staff. All Apollo Clinics are regularly sanitized to keep infection at bay.  All doctors, nurses and staff are provided with personal protective equipment (PPE) kits comprising goggles, a face shield, mask, gloves, coveralls/gowns, head and shoe covers. Apollo Clinics have made it mandatory for their staff to wear PPE at all times whilst on the premises.
