ProGen Method-The latest trend in Keto diet

Keto dietProGen Method-The latest trend in Keto diet. Ketogenic or Keto diet seems to be all that everyone is talking about these days. Some of the already known benefits are fat loss, improved insulin resistance and better management of symptoms arising from chronic conditions including acne, polycystic ovarian syndrome, cancer, and neurological disease. However, some of the lesser-known fact about ketogenic diet is that ketones play an essential role in regulating hunger and maintaining energy levels in our bodies.
While there are many diet trends in the market, an individual must choose a diet that suits their body type and could be beneficial on a long-run. Instead of choosing in the next popular diet that would last only a few days, weeks to months embrace a long-term dietary and lifestyle change that is sustainable over the long term.

Keto is a low-carb diet, which can help in burning fats adequately. The word Ketogenic or keto comes from “ketones” which are small fuel molecules that are produced in our body when we use the fat reserves as a fuel because we don’t have reserves of glucose (by the intake of the low-carb diet). Ketones are also used in medicines to treat difficult-to-control cramps in children. A Ketogenic diet is not only a diet it is also an important part of a healthy and fit lifestyle.

The latest innovation in the Keto diet is VLCKD (very low- calorie keto diet)also known as ProGen Method, which is a diet of 800Kcal/day or less. It contains the daily requirements for vitamins, minerals, trace elements, fatty acids and proteins. Carbohydrates are under 30 gms/day. Individuals who follow the VLCKD diet will lose weight rapidly, faster than with regular diets without the hunger pangs and the result is not only weight loss but higher energy levels.

Since VLCKD is a very low carbohydrate diet it means that the individual’s metabolism will switch to a state of controlled ketosis obliging their bodies to draw its energy from body fat reserves while preserving muscle mass. The difference between Low-Calorie Diet and VLCKD is that while Low-calorie diet involves reducing the consumption of fats, sugars, and proteins which may result in losing muscle mass, your body does not get the energy needed to carry out the normal daily activities. VLCKD reduces sugars and fats but maintains protein intake. This will result in losing stored fats but safeguarding the muscle mass. Also, ketones play an essential role in regulating hunger and maintaining energy levels.

For people with chronic conditions, this may be considered a life-changing diet as followers note significant improvements in their overall health, reduced symptoms and slowed disease progression while adhering to a Ketogenic Diet. A balanced VLCKD diet with lots of water has proved to be an enabler for a long, healthier, vibrant life.
