Mental health of teens should not be ignored as it plays a vital role in developing your personality and life. Teens are struggling with the mental health amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mental health is a major concern worldwide and India is not far behind in sharing this. If we evaluate developments in the field of mental health, the pace appears to be slow. Mental health continues to be misunderstood, ignored, stigmatized, underfunded and overlooked. COVID-19 has in many respects been an equalizer and has placed at the forefront the critical need for good mental health interventions, responses and support during this time.

Mental health of teens is a major concern

The survey conducted by Make Me Pure revealed that 7 out of 10 teens are struggling with the mental health amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. 81% of teens say mental health is a significant issue for them, 55% of teens say they’ve experienced anxiety, 45% excessive stress, and 43% depression, 71% of those surveyed say online classes, homework makes them feel anxious or depressed, and 65% say uncertainty about the future makes them feel anxious or depressed.

Mental health of Young people is a major concern

Young people are facing a whole new world and challenges these days. They are burdened with pressure of pandemic, studies, exams etc. hence they are facing many challenges. Teens are undergoing a lot of physical, psychological, identity, mental and relation changes in their journey, it is essential for them to make sense of their feelings, thoughts and behaviours. Hence comes in play, Mental Health Counselling.

There has been an increase in mental health services among people since the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Depression, Anxiety, Panic State, Self-Harm, Substance Use is quite common news amongst people these days. Taking care of mental health is as important as your physical health. Your mental health should not be ignored as it plays a vital role in developing your personality and life. With the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, most individuals especially teenagers are juggling with mental stress, anxiety, and depression.It is very important for them to have a control over their mental health and maintain their mental equilibrium.
