Mean while the unprecedented  lockdown has set in so many mental, psychological, familial, health and economic problems.

The Novel Corona virus has wreaked havoc across the world, having declared a pandemic by the WHO. While there is fear, confusion and panic, people around the world are trying to take the right precaution. The novel-corona virus (Covid-19) has emerged as one of the biggest threats to global healthcare in modern times. With over 1.52 crores infections and death of more than 6 lakh , and affecting more than 213 countries, this is one of the biggest health crisis mankind has ever seen in modern times.

Basic healthcare services at home:

The symptoms of corona virus resemble many other respiratory ailments and flu. There is thus a lot of confusion among people on how to manage the condition, when to get tested, etc. The virus can also harm people with low immunity such as the elderly, more so if they have associated conditions like high blood pressure. Home quarantine can be of help in this regard and it is also essential for anyone who is at risk of contracting the infection. Apart from accurate information and awareness on corona virus, there is a need to ensure that people with low immunity such as the elderly are provided with basic healthcare services at home. This will ensure that they do not come into contact with those who have the infection given their susceptibility

In the wake of COVID19 crisis, which is a WHO declared pandemic, assuming global proportions, it has become all the more significant to keep a strong immune system. The corona virus seems to affect any age group. Hence, building a strong immunity would certainly help mitigate the ill effects and ensure a quicker recovery. Glutathione and Vitamin C is the best available duo to fight viral attack and potent immunity boosters. There are several natural foods and herbs that help in boosting the body’s immunity and its overall recovery mechanism. In fact, gut and its microbiome are the main regulators of immunity. On coping with the crisis, children were affected most. It is important that parents take cognizance of the fact that children are going through extremely trauma during the lockdown, and need to take the time and effort to explain and guide their children through with empathy and love. In a recent survey on  the Family Worry Index, the highest concern across cities was that the family may contract the disease (74%), Job/business loss was the second biggest concern (68%), and delayed salary was third (62%).  The survey found that the Economic Impact Worry Index was at 66%, showing that the personal worries overshadowed any other worry of the citizens.

COVID-19 patient management program is the need of the hour:

The healthcare system in India is not well equipped to handle community infection. Therefore, it becomes essential to prevent the community transmission of COVID 19 and manage maximum patients at home to relieve the burden on the healthcare system and preventing cross infections. Isolation and home treatment of the COVID comes yoga-and-immunitywith its own challenges and needs a different perspective of care. The traditional approach, where a person goes to a clinic, lab, or hospital, will not work in this global pandemic. Not only we have to help the patients but we also have to protect our clinicians to avoid the compounding spread of the disease, therefore, this COVID-19 patient management program is the need of the hour.

The unprecedented  lockdown has set in so many mental, psychological, familial, health and economic problems, putting the people in dilemma as to how to cope with the emerging new normal since lots of the old order have taken new dimensions, which need proper strategy and counselling to adjust with.
