Health worker safety is a prerequisite to patient safety. September 17, 2020, the World Health Organization, international partners and all countries will commemorate World Patient Safety Day. The theme of Patient Safety Day campaign is to raise awareness about the importance of addressing health worker safety as a prerequisite to patient safety.
Healthcare Facilities across the world need to follow the World Patient Safety day 2020 theme—Safe Health Workers, Safe Patients, as a mission. Since the start of the pandemic, we at Nanavati Hospital have ensured the safety of every single healthcare worker by providing proper Protective Personal Equipment (PPEs), a rotation routine to allow proper rest, diet and nutrition, adopting a unidirectional flow of patients and staff, isolating the visitors with physical distancing, sanitizing the facilities and making necessary structural and technological changes.
