Dr KK Aggarwal Padma Shri awardee and former IMA president passed away due to COVID-19. Ever since he became a doctor,  Dr KK Aggarwal has dedicated his life to the welfare of the public and raising health awareness.

New Delhi: Padma Shri awardee and former Indian Medical Association (IMA) president Dr KK Aggarwal passed away due to COVID-19 late on Monday, 17 May, night. He had been on the ventilator for the past few days at AIIMS Delhi.

Krishan Kumar Aggarwal (5 September 1958 – 17 May 2021) was an Indian physician and cardiologist who was President CMAAO, President of the Heart Care Foundation of India and the Past National President of Indian Medical Association. In 2010, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian award, for his contributions to the field of medicine.

Aggarwal did his MBBS from Nagpur University in 1979 and obtained an MD from the same university in 1983. He was a senior consultant at Moolchand Medcity, New Delhi, India, until 2017.

Ever since he became a doctor, Padma Shri Dr KK Aggarwal has dedicated his life to the welfare of the public and raising health awareness. Even during the pandemic, he made constant efforts to educate the masses and was able to reach out to over 100 million people through numerous videos and educational programs and saved countless.
