Ensuring priority to PWD, digitally challenged and poor in the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine, arrangements will be made to enable onsite and hassle-free registration for the vaccination programme at the Common Service Centers across the state which will also in turn reduce the load on the Community Health Centers (CHCs) and will help in maintaining the social distancing norms.

“It is vital for persons with disabilities, chronically ill people, poor, deprived and digitally challenged to have access to the vaccine. They must be inoculated on priority,” said the CM.

Leading in terms of fully vaccinated people, Uttar Pradesh under the effective and visionary leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been conducting the vaccination drive in a planned, organised manner and has administered 1,40,99,595 doses so far.

Under the Phase III of the vaccination programme, a total of 2,16,897 people aged above 18 have been provided the safety shield. Approx 50,000 doses were administered in the last 24 hours, alone.

Recovery Rate up to 85.7 percent in UP

Maintaining the positive recovery graph, UP recorded a total of 18,125 new cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest in k the last 11 days, whereas, the number of recoveries was 26,700.

Besides Vaccination, UP continues to conduct maximum Covid tests

Meanwhile, the government has decided to ramp up RT PCR testing to 1.50 lakh per day. Earlier, it used to be one lakh per day.

The global health body valued the measures taken by the Yogi-led government in restricting the spread of COVID-19 in the rural pockets of the most populous state.
