Bengaluru: Though sports injuries are quite common there is no dedicated centre to treat these sports injuries. So, for the first time in the country, the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (Government of Karnataka) has set up a ‘Centre for Sports Science‘ at Kanteerva stadium, Bengaluru.
This centre will be the one stop shop for all the sport injuries and feature the latest medical equipment’s and globally qualified doctors.The inauguration is scheduled on Friday, 31st January 2020 at 1 pm in Kanteerava Stadium. Honourable chief minister, deputy chief minister and other dignitaries will be gracing the occasion.
Sports Science Centre:
First of its kind Sports Science Centre is funded by state government and in management partnership with TMI Healthcare. SSC provides an integrated and innovative approach to sport performance. The Analyze-Apply-Optimize feature measures the previously immeasurable, trains smarter, helps recover faster, unlocks the true potential and avoids re-injury of the sportsmen.
Role of Peopletree :
The unique Peopletree and Sports Science Centre, PPP model, will coordinate and collaborate with the Department of Youth Empowerment and sports. Peopletree hospital will be in charge of operations and management of the Centre with its excellent team of sports specialists and doctors to provide with customized sports-specific treatment options for training and recovery for all sportsmen.
Vision: The vision of the sports science Centre is to positively impact by making the state-of -the-art sport specific assessments and sports injury rehabilitation available and affordable to one and all including all age groups, genders, fitness levels, and socio-economic status.
Goal: This innovative new facility sets the stage for advances in maximising sports performance and injury prevention that will benefit all across Karnataka with tools available for International and national level athletes, young and aspiring sportsmen, and budding and grass root level dreamers.
