AIIA organises Shishyopanayana Samskara programme for 7th batch of MD/MS and 3rd batch Ph.D scholars. The program was to induct the scholars in their respective specialties by the faculty and authorities.
Delhi, 20th April2023 : All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), the apex institute of Ayurveda in India, an Autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Ayush organised Shishyopanayana Samskara Programme programme for its 7th batch MD/MS and 3rd batch Ph.D scholars. The program was to induct the scholars in their respective specialties by the faculty and authorities.
Vd. Jayant Yeshwant Deopujari, Chairperson of NCISM (National Commission for Indian System of Medicine) was the Chief Guest for the programme. Dr B.S . Prasad, President of Board of Ayurveda, NCSIM was the guest of honor. The programme started with Dhanwantari Yagna in the morning. This was followed by Induction ceremony, comprising of orientation lecture by Dr. B.S.Prasad, who addressed the gathering regarding the Samskara Program prescribed by NCISM.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Tanuja M. Nesari, Director, AIIA said, “It is a great honour to welcome Vd. Jayant Yeshwant Deopujari, Chairperson of NCISM and Dr B.S . Prasad, President of Board of Ayurveda, NCSIM. AIIA is one of best institutes in India and is owned by Ministry of Ayush, the institute was dedicated to the Nation in October 2017 by Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. With a committed team, we are able to treat 15 lakhs patients within six years.
A total of 76 PG and 29 Ph.D scholars have been admitted to the Institute. The batch has very first PG scholar from Ladakh to study Ayurveda at nation premier institute.
The scholars were also blessed by the faculty, dean, director and the eminent guests with Tilak, tying of sacred thread and gifting a book to them.
Congratulating the scholars, Vd. Jayant Yeshwant Deopujari, said “Ayurveda remains contemporary. It is like a flowing river that can never be historic. Now by holding the hands of technology, Ayurveda has advanced. By doing masters in Ayurveda, you all can study the subject in greater details, it will make you all specialist also it will increase your employment opportunities. Ayurveda is a progressive unfoldment of knowledge that offers successes anywhere we go.”
The senior scholars of the institute also shared their experiences and opinions about their own journey in the field as research scholars. A Shishyopanayan oath was also given by Prof. Anand More, Dean, Academics and all the scholars recited the oath. The program ended with vote of thanks offered by Prof. Mahesh Vyas, Dean, PhD, followed by a group photograph.
