Life skill training programme for NSS program officers has been organized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). The main objective of this training is to provide life skills to youths through NSS officers.

Bangalore, March 14 : As part of Silver Jubilee Program Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) in association with Karnataka State Youth Empowerment and Sports and NIMHANS, Bangalore has organized 06 days State Level Workshop on “ Life Skill Training Program” for NSS Program Officers from 15th to 20th March 2021 at NIMHANS, Bangalore.
The training program will emphasis to enhance skills and knowledge among faculties for effective implementation of Community service activities through National Service Scheme Activities.
The main objective of this training is to provide life skills to youths through NSS officers. Life Skills play an important role in helping young people manage their emotions, make appropriate decisions and deal with others effectively in today’s real world.
Life skills are the foundation of youth or any individual’s universal wellbeing. These include developing an individual’s creative thinking, Problems solving skills, Decision making skills, Critical thinking, Effective communication, Self- awareness and Coping with stresses and Helping them to live a healthy and productive life.
This workshop has been organized under Faculty improvement and Professional development program. Eminent resource persons will take technical sessions though practical trainings.
Dr. S Sacchidanand, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor RGUHS will inaugurate the workshop on 15th March 2021 at Dept. of Epidemiology NIMHANS, Bangalore. Dr.Gururaj, Director, NIMHANS, Sri. Khadri Narasimhaiah, Regional Director, Ministry of Youth Affairs Sports GOI, Sri. Prathap Lingaiah, State NSS Officer, Dept. Youth Empowerment and Sports, GOK will be the Chief Guests for Inaugural Function.
