मन एव मनुष्याणां कारणं बन्धमोक्षयोः |
बन्धाय विषयासक्तं मुक्तं निर्विषयं स्मृतम् ||

Manah eva manushyaanaam, kaaranam bandha-mokshayoh; |
bandhaaya vishayaa-saktam, muktam nirvishayam smritam ||

As explained in Amritabindu Upanishad – Verse 2, mind is the reason behind all our sufferings and freedom. Mind attached to objects is the cause of bondage, enslavement, restriction, limitation and sorrow. The mind which is devoid of desire or detached from them is considered to be liberated, free or in bliss. If we can understand and work with this mind, we can experience its amazing world and reap its benefits in terms of health, happiness and peace.

As the great Master Swami Rama Says:
My mind does not create a problem for you.
Your mind doesn’t create a problem for me.
Your mind creates a problem for yourself.
As is the mind, so is the individual.

As defined in our Vedic literature’s, Mind is a part of the subtle body which is very powerful. It is our instrument of perception. All the distinctions of big and small, high and low, inferior and superior, good and bad, dark and bright, truth and false are only found as long as there is mind. The concept of mind is large, broad, strong, gigantic, a great principle, illuminating, a greater intelligence, luminosity. The distinguishing factor between a man from a mere animal is the mind (mana), the mental faculty which makes a man an intelligent and a moral being.

Of all the existences one of the most mysterious is said to be the mind because of its nature of non-perception. It cannot be perceived with our available senses; mind does not have a form of its own. The structure of the mind is affected by what we see (roopa), taste (rasa), smell (gandha), hear (shabdha) or feel (sparsha), basically the senses are the power tools to input data to the mind.

Mind is very much our property as are our limbs. It is a web-hub of data, information’s which the sense organs (components of the physical body) gather through their contact with the external world objects. Mind is a form of energy; it is invisible and non-physical. The mind is a source of our thoughts, emotions, imagination, memory, etc. It is a medium as well, where all cognitive faculties express. The mind is a faculty of Consciousness, and everything exists in our consciousness.

Each and every piece of information that passes through the medium of mind leaves its imprints known as samskaras (impressions) that are ignited from Chitta (store-house), rises Smriti (memories) which is reflected as Vasana (tendency) that creates Vritti (thought) which penetrates through Klesha (burdens – avidya-asmita-raga-dvesa-abhinivesah) and brings about action (karma) with the Phala(result) which once again goes back to Chitta. When Mind is filled with Klesha, it again creates Karma as the cycles of experiences continue. To break this cycle, we need to work on healing and cleansing memories.

The state of health of the physical body is affected by the state, or structure of the mind, as our nervous system is the physical extension of our mind into our body. This mind-body connection is the reason for the derivation of the terms like mental health, or mental health problems and the body is actually thought to be the 3D projection of the mind in space.

Yoga is a spiritual discipline in the history of Indian philosophy which is about several thousand years old. Its purpose is being able to unleash, uncover, exhibit the spiritual and mental powers of an individual. It is considered to be an evolutionary and universal science. The practical and philosophical aspects of our life are dealt in yoga.

Maharishi Patanjali explains that yoga is a process that keeps the mind (chitta) away from fluctuations (vrttis), restraining the chitta (mind-stuff / store house) from taking various forms called vrttis, stilling the fluctuations of the mind (ego, attachments, desires, aversions, ignorance, negative aspects of mind), neutralizes the whirlpools of feeling, a state where the mind (chitta) ceases to exist (samadhi).

योगश्चित्तवृत्तिनिरोधः||
Yogaschitta Vritti Nirodaha||

The sutra further explains that blocking of the patterns arising in all the dimensions of consciousness, shutting our self-off from the external experiences which we face every morning and evening, setting aside the vision we have in deep meditation and higher samadhi is yoga. The state of yoga manifests, when the experiences of individual awareness arising in different dimensions are transcended.

According to The Bhagavad Gita, yoga is defined as
समत्वं योग उच्यते ||
Samatvam yoga uchyate ||

The sutra states that equanimity is yoga – a state of both physical equilibrium and mental equanimity, a state of harmony where the body’s physiological functions are maintained and the mind remains in control, does not react overly to aversion or desire.

ManoYoga is a part of our Ancient Yogic Science. ManoYoga deals with the MIND. It portraits the essence to create equanimity, develop a perfect balance and synchronicity between the states of Consciousness (Jagruth, Swapna, Sushupti, Turiya). This leads us to experience ultimate bliss.

ManoYoga is a powerful tool to relax our conscious mind, work with the subconscious (collection of past memories and experiences) and allow us to access the actual reason of the current challenges. It asserts in treating the root cause of the problem rather than the symptoms.

ManoYoga is a combination of ancient Yogic concepts of Yoga Nidra Therapy, Sammohana Therapy (Holistic Hypnotherapy) and Pratiprasava, given by Mahararishi Patanjali which in modern science, is addressed as ‘Regression Therapy’.

ManoYoga helps to retrieve, release the unpleasant memories of the past by re-experiencing and re-living those instances in the subconscious level to cleanse and heal the unanswered, undesirable Experiences-Events-Situations and Emotional blockages.

ManoYoga helps to transmute the ignorance to realisation of the experience with elevated knowledge that resonates into our present life.

ManoYoga is a powerful alternative healing modality to heal traumas, negative beliefs, negative emotions that are in the subconscious as deep-rooted repressed memories creating blockages in one’s life.

ManoYoga also helps to transform undesirable behaviour, realign-redesign-reframe-reprogram the thoughts, change the perception of mind, give clarity to reclaim our life and lead to create a positive effect on Body-Mind-Emotion towards attracting radiant health and a successful, relaxed, creative, happy life. ManoYoga is thus a route to understand the functions, synchronicity and influences of our MIND and unify our Astitva. This wisdom will help one to achieve a balanced Life.

They are meant to regulate (yoke) and rest the mind while acknowledging an objective witness awareness that is unaffected by the mind (Chitta) and everyday suffering (Dukha).

According to author Edward Fitzpatrick Cringle, this model is primarily backed by Hindu scholars. The linear model contends that yoga was first practiced during the Vedic period and had an influence on Buddhism. This idea is supported by the Vedic textual corpus.
The synthesis paradigm, which is favored in Western academic circles, contends that yoga is a fusion of non-Vedic and Vedic elements.

Numerous Upanishads make reference to yoga.
The Katha Upanishad, which was presumably written between the fifth and third centuries BCE, is where the word “yoga” first appears with the same meaning as the current term. During the fifth and sixth century BCE, yoga continued to advance as a disciplined study and practice in the ascetic and ramaa movements of ancient India. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the most complete work on the subject, were written in the first centuries of the Common Era. Tantra gave rise to the first hatha yoga literature, which appeared between the ninth and the eleventh century.

Contrary to traditional yoga, which emphasizes meditation and the release of worldly attachments, the term “yoga” is frequently used in the West to refer to a contemporary form of Hatha yoga and a posture-based method of physical fitness, stress relief, and relaxation that primarily involves the asanas.

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it was popularized by gurus from India following Swami Vivekananda’s adaptation of yoga without asanas. The Yoga Sutras were brought to the West by Vivekananda, and they gained popularity after hatha yoga’s popularity in the 20th century.

The Indispensable – Yoga. If one wants to be sane, sensitive, sensible, strong and intuitive one has to follow Yoga. It has the capability to discover the hidden talent and regenerate the lost focus.

A yogi discovers the unlimited possibilities, unlimited solutions and unlimited ways around every single solution. Thus, one needs to stop seeking external solutions to internal problems. Retreat into solitude, sit in silence, do yoga and illuminate shadows. Do Yoga and Heal. Bruce lee once said- “Empty your cup so that it may be filled; become devoid to gain totality. Thus, it becomes necessary to empty the mind and gain fresh energy to drill the skills. Yoga creates the drastic change in life. It provides flexibility, regenerates dead cells and shifts the level of the frequency into a happy and peaceful mode.

Yoga and Meditation also relate to the spiritual aspect of life. According to Ayurveda, the soul is the source of life and health. Yoga postures, breathing exercise, mantra and visualization, meditation is all aimed at silencing the mind. Without this, our life has no real center around which the other practices of right living can be organized.

1.YOGA FOR SPINE
HUMANS CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT A SPINE: –

The spine connects your brain to your body. As the brain animates much of our body, that connection point between the spine, brain and body is essential to your survival. Our body operates on nerve signals. Nerve signals rely on a functioning central nervous system, which consists of your brain and spinal cord. Without these nerve signals, your body would cease to function. As a result, a human can’t live without a spine due to the severed connection between the brain and body it would entail.

Some common back pain conditions include:
• Back sprains and strains:
• Cauda equina syndrome:
• Congenital conditions like spina bifida, kyphosis or scoliosis:
• Degenerative disc disease:
• Herniated or ruptured discs:
• Spinal osteoarthritis:

Yoga postures for healthy spine are:-

 Bhujangasana- Cobra Pose

This gentle backbend stretches abdomen, chest, and shoulders. Practicing this pose strengthens your spine and may soothe sciatica. By providing a conscious opening in the chest and stretch in the shoulders, Cobra Pose, called Bhujangasana in Sanskrit, fights fatigue and relieves lower back ache.

In a spiritual practice, dhanurasana stimulates the manipura (solar plexus) chakra, also called the life source chakra, situated just above the navel. Stimulating this chakra increases the digestive fire and activates the flow of prana, or life energy. Manipura chakra also represents the core Self and is tied to the practitioner’s sense of identity and the ability to be confident and in control.

Meditation therapy helps to cure Depression – Meditation might help you get past the unfavourable thoughts and emotions. Help to relax, so regularly practice and observe the symptoms are under control.

Depression is still a serious health concern for the younger generation. Regular depression can increase the risk of heart disease and illness-related death. It affects 20% of adults over the age of 65. Also, it has an impact on people’s daily life by increasing social isolation and impairing cognitive performance, particularly memory. Meditation trains the brain to achieve sustained focus and to return to that focus when negative thinking, emotions, and physical sensations intrude — which happens frequently when you feel stressed and anxious. Stress and anxiety are major triggers of depression, and meditation can change how you react to those feelings.

It has been discovered that meditation alters certain brain areas associated with depression. The goal of meditation is to be aware of your thoughts and feelings while also realizing that you don’t have to act on them. It is not to ignore stress or block out negative thoughts. Simple techniques for doing this include counting breaths or simply closing your eyes and repeating a single word or phrase.

Connecting with your wisdom through meditation

The hippocampus is protected by meditation:- The hippocampus aids in learning and remembering. Your brain’s grey matter in this region grows when you meditate for 30 minutes each day for eight weeks. According to research, those who have recurring depressive episodes have smaller hippocampi.

Changing your way of thinking is helpful:– There are many pessimistic and melancholy thoughts associated with depression. It’s normal to feel angry with oneself and with life. You don’t have to ignore your stress or shut out unfavourable thoughts to meditate. Instead, it gives you a means of becoming aware of those feelings and thoughts. As it entails increasing your awareness of those thoughts and sensations, this may seem paradoxical. Nonetheless, the practice fosters acceptance of them and consciousness of them.

It readies the brain for demanding circumstances:- If you’re anxious or stressed about seeing your doctor, meditating for a little while prior will help. It causes the mind to shift from the stress response to a calmer condition. If you don’t want to, the practice enables you to resist acting on those ideas and emotions. Instead, you understand and appreciate that, even though they influence you, they are not you. As you’re meditating, gently let them go to break the tension and despair cycles.

Several Meditation Techniques for Depression

The following meditation techniques can help you manage depression: – Keep up with your drug regimen and other therapies even as you practice meditation. Take it under your doctor’s guidance and as a supplement to your regular medical care, if at all possible.

1) Loving-kindness meditation: Concentrates on making yourself a loving and kind environment. It can assist in eradicating self-doubt and self-criticism.

2) Mindfulness meditation: This type of meditation is regarded by some as the most effective. This style is where most other types of meditation originate. It involves being fully present in the moment and aware of it.

3) Cognitive therapy based on mindfulness: This type of meditation is a subset of mindfulness. It combines with cognitive behavioural therapy for efficient outcomes and concentrates on altering negative thought patterns and behaviour.

Meditation might help you get past the unfavourable thoughts and emotions that occur with depression. The goal of the exercise is to help you relax by helping you concentrate on one thing. Make meditation a regular practice by picking the method that suits you the best. You’ll observe that the symptoms are less severe or easier to control.

There is strong evidence to suggest that meditation can help reduce symptoms of depression. Research studies have consistently shown that regular meditation practice can lead to improvements in mood, self-esteem, and overall well-being. One of the key ways that meditation can help with depression is by reducing stress and anxiety. Meditation encourages a state of deep relaxation and calm, which can help to counteract the negative effects of chronic stress on the body and mind. It can also help to improve self-awareness and develop a greater sense of acceptance and compassion towards oneself and others.

“Pranayama is the control of exhalation and inhalation”. In these fast phases of life, when life is surrounded by negative situations, it is the belief in yoga and the blessings of lord that can make you come out of the difficult situations. Situations changes, people changes but what should not change is the belief that you carry within your soul towards the connection with yoga and the power of Lord. Yoga connects us with the supreme soul. Taking control of breathing is the way to gain divine energy. It enhances the power of Intuition. You ask questions from the universe and universe gives an incredible answer beyond one’s imagination. That’s the experience one feels when go through the process of this ultimate yoga journey.

Pranayama in expanding consciousness and in maintaining health, we need to look for very specific changes that occur in the body – mind continuum in individuals practicing this ancient technique. The brain is a logical place for a search since yoga is for restraining the mind. The workings of the mind, breathing and body functions are closely connected to each other, as most workers in the psychosomatic area will agree. Breathing is a link between body and mind, as much as brain is a link between the two. Thus, if both brain and breathing are individually linked to the psyche and the soma, the natural question is what connections are there between is what connections are there between brain and breathing themselves.

Helps to concentrate and to attain health:

Pranayama is an art and has techniques to make the respiratory organs to move and expand internally, rhythmically and intensively. It consists of long, sustained flow of inhalation, exhalation and retention of breath. Puraka stimulates the system; rechaka throws out vitiated air and toxins kumbhaka distributes the energy throughout the body. This disciplined breathing helps the mind to concentrate and enables the sadhak to attain robust health and longevity”.

Yoga has the power to give you the key for inner silence which unlock the potential of meeting divine energy. To harmonize the body, mind and spirit, yoga is the ultimate path. Performing asana, pranayama and chanting ‘AUM’ heals the chakras which deals with cosmic energy insight, truth, love, willpower, pleasure and survival. Life is blissful when all the chakras are balanced.

To be in the present movement is the aim of the breathing control. To be able to accept the reality is the toughest task for a person. When things go beyond our control, what’s left with us is only our state of mind at the present movement followed by our own actions.

Yoga ignites the power from within :

Yoga ignites the power from within. The power that has nothing to do with what you say, what you do or what you look like or skills you have, talents or what you have. It is the power of your presence. It is the heat and light from your burning log, it touches everyone who comes in contact with. We all have the power to create our life. The key is finding the tool that enables us to make choices from the bottom of our soul.

1. In post-Covid times, people who underwent steroid treatment need to be cautious while performing aasanas.

2. Some elderly Covid patients treated with steroids developed mild osteoporosis and others struggled with chronic muscular pain. They need proper supervision while performing yoga.

3. Yoga trainers and doctors caution against over-straining oneself during aasana, advise proper warm-up and suggest seeking help from a qualified trainer for yoga sessions.

The excitement around celebration of the International Yoga Day on June 21 is building up amid Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s own plans to hit the mat on that day. But in the post-Covid times, medical practitioners have cautioned people who were hit by the coronavirus and administered steroids. All these people must practice yoga only under watchful eyes of a trained practitioner as the possibility of trivial muscle or joint injuries among them is high.

People with post-Covid issues need to be careful

Medical practitioners say that they have noticed a spike in cases wherein people, especially elderly, who were treated with steroids for coronavirus have developed mild osteoporosis or are struggling with chronic muscular pain even after recovering from Covid-19. “There is no doubt about yoga’s benefits in reducing back aches and postural issues but some people who are struggling with post-Covid issues need to be careful,” said Simran Kumar, a consultant in Delhi government health department.

Improper warm up or erroneous copying of YouTube videos without guidance of a yoga trainer are also likely to cause muscle and tendon strains in some people struggling with post-Covid issues, said another medical practitioner. The benefits of yoga include stress-relief and fitness but improper execution of asanas – including overstretching of muscles – can expose people to injuries, said yoga trainer Sadhana Singh.

“In some people, with marginal osteoporosis or other related issues, overzealous flexing or extending the spine can injure the back. While performing asanas which need forward folds, one should be gentle as a beginner and not push too hard to achieve perfection,” said Dr Madhujeet Gupta, Spine & Pain Specialist at Axis Clinic for preventive orthopaedics.

Elderly people suffering with weak bones in the aftermath of coronavirus infection and the involved steroid treatment, need to take special care. Some of the common age-related injuries during over-stretching could be vertebral collapse or ligament and muscle injuries. In such cases, the compressed spine needs to be repaired with kyphoplasty and regenerative cell therapy for the soft tissue injuries.

Proper warm-up and a round of preparatory poses before moving into poses like hanumanasana (leg split), sarvangasana (shoulder stand), uttanasana (standing forward bend), salamba shirshasana (head stand) and pashimottanasana (seated forward bend) that require a slightly more effort and flexibility.

The benefits of yoga, India’s 5,000-year-old body of knowledge, are enormous. Even the western world has started to accept yoga’s physical and mental health benefits. Medical practitioners and yoga trainers are unanimous about yoga being a power vehicle for spreading India’s soft power in the world. So, this June 21 join the International Yoga Day celebrations and make your body fit but do not forget to take a trainer’s help or over stressing yourself in the race to compete with others.

Vedic Meditation has has beautiful healing properties. A lot of research has been done on Vedic meditation in the last twenty years, and results have shown that this kind of meditation provides many health benefits. This practice impacts our mental health, inflammation, chronic disease, pain, insomnia, and our lifespan in general.

Vedic meditation has origins in the ancient body of knowledge, in Sanskrit known as Vedas. This 6 000-year-old technique was passed on between priests in a form of oral narrative. What differs this ancient practice from other forms of meditation is mantra. It is a mind-vehicle which helps people who practice Vedic meditation to self transcend to a deeper level of consciousness. This allows our body to have deep rest.

Vedic meditation instructors teach students how to use mantra in a gentle, innocent way without effort. This makes Vedic meditation unique in comparison to other techniques. This practice is meant for people who are not monks, and is suitable for our modern lifestyle, technique is effortless and natural to practice. Other forms of meditation are more for monks. These people are devoting their lives to meditation. For us, who have work to do, to take care of our kids and pay a mortgage, it is necessary to have a meditation practice which will suit our working schedule. That’s the difference between Vedic meditation and other meditation techniques like open monitoring practice or focus meditation

There are dozens of meditation categories, but all can be splitted in these three disciplines:

Self-transcendent style of meditation/Vedic meditation or Nishkam Karma Yoga/Transcendental meditation

Open monitoring practice/Mindfulness

Focus meditation/Vipassana

A lot of research has been done on Vedic meditation in the last twenty years, and results have shown that this kind of meditation provides many health benefits. We meditate to calm our minds and to provide deep rest to our bodies. This practice impacts our mental health, inflammation, chronic disease, pain, insomnia, and our lifespan in general.

There are few people who can say that they don’t feel worried in some way. Anxiety, depression, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases are on the rise. Besides covid, 80% of hospital visits are related to stress. If we can manage our stress levels, we will have the opportunity to live a healthier and happier life.

1. Reduced Anxiety

Vedic meditation is a stress relief tool. New studies report a significant reduction of stress chemicals in people who practice this ancient technique.

Brain imaging shows certain changes in brain structure after only three months of practicing meditation. It is noticed an increased amount of gray matter in the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus. The prefrontal cortex is the center of cognitive function and has a crucial role in decision making. At the same time, brain imaging shows a shrinking of our amygdala, the fear center. This can explain the reported anxiety reduction in people who practice Vedic meditation.

Meditation allows deep rest. When we meditate our breathing and heart rate are slower, which provides body regeneration and regulation of blood pressure. As a consequence, we have better blood flow to the brain. With time and practice, neuroplasticity occurs and we become more resilient to stress. So, if you practice Vedic meditation, you are not only providing immediate relief in a form of peace and blissful chemicals, but you are becoming more resilient to stress in the future.

2. Increased cognitive function

Most of the meditators reported increased productivity. Meditation practice provides rest as a base for our further action. When you are rested, you feel refreshed, energized, and ready to act whether it’s your job, other work, playing with your children or having some fun with your partner and friends.

Meditation improves working memory and hippocampus. This can explain why meditators are good at multitasking. Neuroscientists reported that doing this particular practice, we simultaneously activate left and right brain hemispheres, and as a consequence we have a thicker corpus callosum. This corpus callosum represents the communication bridge between the left and right parts of the brain.

The left part of the brain is in charge of the past and the future and represents our critical mind, while the right brain is more responsible for creative thinking and being in the present moment. Researchers think that thicker corpus callosum can be a consequence of neuroplasticity which occurs with long-time meditation practice.

When we are stressed we are using more critical than creative thinking. That’s why many artists, world-leading innovators, and entrepreneurs practice Vedic meditation. It helps them to balance critical and creative thinking. Meditation makes it easier for us to recognize our authentic needs, to hear our inner voice and intuition. When we are stressed, we are in a fight or flight, and the brain is looking for dangers in our environment. With regular practice, we are lowering our stress chemicals, which helps us to increase our creativity, intuition and compassion.

3. Prevents Insomnia

Insomnia is a common problem these days; almost 40% of the US population suffers from sleep problems and 70% are sleep-deprived. One of the main reasons for insomnia is chronic stress. When we go to bed at night, our mind starts thinking backward and forward, running to the past or future. In meditation, this is known as monkey mind.

With Vedic meditation, our stress chemicals can be lower by 30 to 40%. This is a significant drop that impacts not just the amygdala in our brain, but our sleeping hormone as well. When we have a regular meditation practice, our body is at rest, and that allows our central nervous system to regenerate. As a consequence of that, we can fall asleep faster. This is why Vedic meditation has beautiful healing properties providing our body not only with regeneration during meditation practice but makes our sleeping time more restorative with more deep sleep and fewer awakenings during the night. As the Dalai Lama said :“Sleep is the best meditation”.

Many meditators report better sleep quality but shorter sleeping time. For example, instead of eight or more hours of sleep, people who have regular meditation practice sleep around six to seven hours at night. This breaks the general opinion that we don’t have time to meditate. Opposite to that, meditation provides more productive time for us.

Also Read: 10 Point Recommendation for a Healthy Sleep

4. Chronic pain and inflammation

Chronic pain can have different causes, from muscle weakness, vitamin D deficiency, unnatural body postures, and stress. Vedic meditation not only controls your stress levels but significantly reduces inflammation. Studies show lower inflammation markers after regular meditation practice. In this way, we don’t just treat symptoms of disease but its causes.

Some studies suggest that long time meditators have the same sensitivity to pain as non-meditators, but they are less distracted by pain. That provides them the ability to do their regular activity more effectively despite the pain.

5. Longer lifespan

According to the Nobel Prize winner Ph.D. Elizabeth Blackburn, meditation can regulate our heart rate variability and maintain the length of our telomeres that are the protective ends of our chromosomes. It is shown that people with chronic stress have shorter telomeres, which can lead to chronic illness, inflammation, cancer, and a poor quality of life. Chromosomes keep our genetic material under control. This helps proteins that read our genes to decode genes and give genetic information to our cells. New research shows that if our cells don’t get necessary information from a specific gene, they lose their function and that is the cause of aging.

In one study, women who had children with chronic disorders had shorter telomeres than others. Professor Blackburn noticed that one particular community of mothers with ill children didn’t have these accelerated shortening of telomeres. The reason for these long healthy telomeres was a different view of the problem, more as a challenge and not as an inevitable destiny.

The Nobel Prize winner did research on meditation and stress. She reported that mindfulness and Vedic meditation lowers our stress levels and regulates heart rate variability. Study suggested that meditation can make us resilient to stress and it can have a great impact on telomere length.

With meditation which could increase our feel-good chemicals our telomeres can be well preserved and our body protected from premature aging.

Mantra

Vedic meditation has Beeja mantras or seed mantras. When a teacher gives you a sound or a mantra and teaches you how to use it easily and effortlessly, the mantra will subtly become more natural to you. Mantra doesn’t have meaning, it is a primordial sound. Simple sounds of nature like water waves, wind, or some natural noise transformed into two-syllable Sanskrit words. This sound will be given to a student by a Vedic meditation teacher in a private ceremony. This tradition is old for thousands of years.

If the mantra has meaning, that would be more intellectual practice, which wouldn’t allow our body to have deep rest. That is because our mind is always in the process of thinking, and as you can’t command your nails to stop growing you can’t command your mind to stop thinking too. That’s why we use meaningless primordial sounds, which are relaxing and without active stimulation for our brains.

YOGA the Journey of the True Self. Yoga is the key to ignite the powers of the soul from within. It is the self-awakening and self-realization of the inner and outer world. The path to change self is not that easy.

Habits are developed with due time and once developed becomes our personality. Yoga is not the cure to solve problems but has the power to transform our personality. Everything is interconnected, Eyes connects the moment, moment connects the breath, breath connects the mind, mind connects the muscle, muscle connects with nervous system, nervous system connects your body, body connects with your senses and senses connects with the soul. Yoga has the beauty to balance the five elements of our body. When there is peace, love and harmony in the five elements, then there is bliss and there is joy not just within you but also around you.

Yoga teaches you to listen to your body – Journey of True Self

Yoga ignites the power from within. The power that has nothing to do with what you say, what you do or what you look like or skills you have, talents or what you have. It is the power of your presence. It is the heat and light from your burning log, it touches everyone who comes in contact with. We all have the power to create our life. The key is finding the tool that enables us to make choices from the bottom of our soul.
