Yes Recent research has dramatically changed  our thinking  about  the  role  of  diet  in both  prevention  and  treatment  of  cancerIt is increasingly  clear  that  certain  dietary  elements  may  help  to promote  the development  and  spread of  malignancies (cancer),  while  others  slow  or  block  tumor  growth. Around 30 to 35 %   cancers are diet related.

To prevent cancer: 

The   Anti – Cancer Diet:

Numerous studies link a high fat diet and obesity with an increased risk of cancers such as colon, uterus, prostate and skin. There should not be more than 30% of total calorie from fat. It takes only a few changes in diet to reduce fat intake. eg: enjoy vegetarians diet several times in a week, adopt low fat cooking methods like baking and steaming, limit use of added fats such as butter, mayonnaise, oils.

Eat more fibre….

Increased intake of fibres fastens the transit of waste through the colon and reduces the risk of bowel cancer. A high fibre, low calorie diet reduces the risk of cancers related to high body fat.

Eating when you have cancer:

Cancer patients may face problems like loss of appetite, nausea, and other eating problems. The following tips have worked for many cancer patients.
