The Common Causes

Small mass developed in the lining of womb or neck of womb (polyp)
• Infection on neck of the womb
• Harmless tumor known fibroid in the womb
• Use of OC pill, a pill to prevent pregnancy
• In 1-2 % it is usually seen in the centre of the cycle when egg is released
• Women with copper T in the womb
• Some medication which amplify bleeding
• Cancer at the neck or mouth of womb.

Patient with underlined complaints need to have a diagnosis is made based on the history regarding her menses and associated complaints, current medication and any medical disorders. A comprehensive examination is necessary including pelvic examination to diagnose causes for the bleeding like polyp and infection. Pap smear sample is also taken by surface scarping of mouth of the womb with a wooden or plastic spatula and sent for microscopy. It is primarily a screening test which aids to identify suspicious changes in the womb neck. Additional tests are essential for verification if the Pap test is irregular. In western countries females undertake this test at regular intervals. In India it is suggested for female above 35 years of age even with no signs and in younger age with underlined symptoms or when there is a doubt on local pelvic examination.

Further investigation may be:

Ultrasound: Transvaginal ultrasound done through the vaginal which is the best for analysing the abnormalities in and around the womb. Like polyp and fibroid.

Hysteroscopy: Hysteroscope is a telescope like instrument which helps for direct visualization of inside womb and biopsy is also possible from suspicious parts. Polyp or fibroid can also be removed with hysteroscopy without any major operations. In several centers, it is made as a clinic procedure.

Colposcopy is made with a tool to enlarge the surface of the womb magnification of 15 40 times & colpomicroscope 100 150 times. It is for female with irregular smears & H/0 contact bleeding regardless of existence of negative smears lesion is not clinically identified colposcopic absorbed biopsy offers maximum dependability.

Management:

Management depending on the cause :

• Hysteroscopic removal for Fibroid and polyp in the womb
• In case of bleeding due to OC pill or copper T – OC pill is stopped or copper T is removed.
• In case of infection of the mouth of the womb – Antibiotics based on orgasm. Trace and treat sexual partners.

Can be treated conservatively

If associated with white discharge and trouble symptoms persistent inspite of treatment then the lesion can be burnt with electrocautery or with a globe of ice

If coupled with white discharge and trouble, and also persistent symptoms in spite of treatment then the lesion can be burnt with electrocautery or with a globe of ice

When gynecological cancer is suspected, further investigation to be done urgently.

This is a new vaccine called GARDASIL, which has been introduced to prevent the development of cancer due to certain types of virus called Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). This is recommended between ages of 13 – 36 yrs. preferably it should be taken before the episode of 1st intercourse.

Women Health : Challenges faced by diabetic women during COVID pandemic

The coronavirus has affected the healthcare system globally. The highly virulent COVID-19 has affected both men and women. Men and women with comorbidity are at higher risk of developing complications associated with COVID-19. Advanced age, diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and cardiovascular disease lead to increased morbidity and mortality from COVID-19.

But, women having diabetes form a special vulnerable group. While taking care of everyone, women often overlook their well-being and ignore controlling their blood sugar levels. Managing blood glucose levels is crucial as increased blood sugar levels increase the risk of developing severe complications associated with COVID-19.

How COVID-19 pandemic affected women with diabetes?

The highly contagious coronavirus has affected the psychological and emotional health of people. There is widespread fear and anxiety among people. The psychological stress, altered lifestyle, and limited outdoor mobility have impacted the blood sugar level in women with diabetes.

Moreover, women constitute a more significant proportion of the workforce in healthcare and are primary caregivers at hospitals. These, frontline women with diabetes, if infected with COVID-19, are also at an elevated risk of developing complications.

What should women having diabetes do if they get infected with COVID-19?

If women having diabetes get infected with COVID-19, they should make sure that they check their blood sugar levels regularly. To control blood sugar levels,

They must eat small, frequent meals. Eating small meals ensures that there is no sudden surge in blood sugar levels.

Also, they must include whole grains and green leafy vegetables, and lots of protein in their diet, and avoid eating junk and processed food.

Keep themselves hydrated. Drink plenty of fluids.

They should take medicines regularly without fail.

Consult your doctor if you cannot manage the temperature at home or experience difficulty in breathing.

Stay in touch with your consulting doctor and talk to them regularly. If you experience tiredness, fatigue, weakness, body aches, vomiting, diarrhoea, or belly pain, please share with your doctor.

How to manage gestational diabetes in women during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Pregnant women with gestational diabetes require care and frequent monitoring. Pregnant women are at higher risk of contracting viral infections. Thus, it is essential to protect pregnant women from getting infected. Family members must take special care to ensure that pregnant women with diabetes do not get infected with COVID-19. Pregnant women with diabetes are at higher risk of developing severe complications affecting the mother and the fetus.

Together we can help women to lead a healthy life with equal access to medication and healthcare facilities.

Wonder Women: Rise of the Obesity Warriors. This Women’s Day, let’s celebrate the women who took charge of their health, fought the Obesity stigma and emerged stronger than ever!

The role of women in today’s world has changed significantly and for the better. They’re wives, mothers, caregivers and breadwinners, often juggling all these roles at the same time. Studies show that women make 80% of the healthcare decisions in their families, often while putting their own health on the back burner. It’s high time that we not only encourage, but also empower women to make their health a priority including regularly visiting a doctor, adhering to a healthy diet, exercising, and prioritizing mental health.

Let’s hear it from some wonder women who battled Obesity and related diseases and stigma. They tried dieting, lifestyle modifications and exercises, but failed to lose weight in a sustainable manner. What makes these women stand out is that all of them took charge of their body, understood obesity is a chronic health disease. They not only won the battle against obesity, but also regained their health and a new life.

We spoke to Dr Shashank Shah, one of India’s leading obesity surgeons, about the many women warriors he has treated. “This is not about a surgery or medical intervention; this is about women finding ways to beat the odds and fight a very dangerous epidemic. This is about celebrating women who have overcome this disease and making others aware because there are many who still don’t know about the treatment options available to fight obesity.”

Wonder Women: Rise of the Obesity Warriors. One of his best remembered case is that of a patient who called him from Hong Kong after being stopped at immigration due to her drastic transformation. Due to her change in appearance, there was complete mismatch with the photo in her passport. Here’s the inspiring stories:

1.It was worth going all the way to Hong Kong to get the most memorable compliment of my life”

“I wanted to travel around the world, but my struggles with obesity stopped me from doing so. I weighed a whopping 130kgs at the age of 38 years and every weight loss attempt had been unsuccessful. I had difficulty in breathing, suffered from joint pain, high blood pressure and diabetes. My family doctor advised me to undergo bariatric surgery. I now weigh 65 kgs and am disease-free. I got the biggest compliment from an immigration officer in Hong Kong, who said I look way younger than the person in my passport.”

2.From death bed to an industrialist’s chair, I have come a long way”

“I had uncontrolled diabetes from 2007 that led to a lot of stress and depression in my life. After trying various treatments unsuccessfully for over 7 years, I was warned by a doctor that I would not live for more than a few months as diabetes had affected almost all my organs. I finally found a solution in Bariatric surgery, and after undergoing it in 2014, I am now diabetes- free. Life has given me a second chance; I have now started my own company. I have won several awards, all thanks to the regained confidence in myself.

3.Undergoing Bariatric surgery has been the best decision of my life – I am finally living my best life”

“I was morbidly obese, weighing 131 kg s and wheelchair bound. Such was my situation that I could barely make it to the washroom on my own. Along with the obesity, came several other related problems ranging from severe joint pain, hyperthyroidism, uncontrolled diabetes and severe breathlessness. My quality of life suffered I was advised to lose weight by every doctor I consulted. But no weight loss solution worked for me. Eventually I underwent bariatric surgery in 2016 and after losing 58 kg s, today I am off all medications and living my life to the fullest.

Women in India suffers most from Anaemia. 6 in 10 women suffers from Anaemia finds Metropolis Healthcare Study . Highest incidence reported in 20-50 age group.

Recent studies has shown that 6 in 10 women from 36 cities of India have low haemoglobin levels indicating iron deficiency anaemia. Anaemia is a condition that develops when there is lack of healthy red blood cells or haemoglobin in the blood. The incidence of anaemia was reported highest in the 20-50 age group.

In its recent study on anaemia, Metropolis Healthcare found that 6 in 10 women from 36 cities of India have low haemoglobin levels indicating iron deficiency, anaemia. Anaemia is a condition that develops when there is lack of healthy red blood cells or haemoglobin in the blood. The incidence of anaemia was reported highest in the 20-50 age group.

For this study, Metropolis Healthcare had tested 17,00,000 samples of girls and women over a period of two years. In Mumbai, Metropolis tested 11,41,600 samples of girls and women. Among them, 6 in 10 samples were tested anaemic. In Mumbai, amongst the age group of 20-50, the anaemia prevalence was higher.

What is anaemia?

Anaemia is a condition that develops when there is lack of healthy red blood cells or haemoglobin in the blood. Haemoglobin is a main component of the RBCs that binds oxygen into the blood stream. Our bodies need the mineral iron to create this haemoglobin. If one has too few or abnormal red blood cells or if haemoglobin is abnormal or low, the cells in the body will not get enough oxygen. Symptoms of anaemia like weakness, fatigue, shortness of breath, cold hands and feet, irregular heartbeats, brittle nails, and pale skin occurs because our organs aren’t getting what they need to function properly. However, this mild condition maybe easily fixed with the help of medicinal supplements and diet adjustments.

The most common reason for anaemia is a deficiency of iron which can be taken care of with supplements and good nutrition. But in India, women continue to live with anaemia. Menstruating girls and women are more deficient due to the monthly blood loss. The most common signs to watch out for anaemia would be lethargy, unexplained fatigue, pale skin and pale eyes. In kids, more severe form of anaemia is characterized by a behaviour called as pica where the child builds a tendency to eat dirt, clay and other unusual substances. This is not a harmful behaviour and disappears once anaemia is cured.

Anaemia symptoms are mistaken as cause of stress and overwork. While routine blood tests like Complete Blood Cell (CBC) count can give us an overall picture on the status of Hb and Red Blood Cell components, it is important to undergo thorough diagnosis to find out the exact cause of anaemia. Other causes of anaemia may include internal bleeding and our body’s inability to absorb iron. Whatever the cause, it is important to get diagnosed early on to avoid further complications and correct the condition, as soon as possible.

While iron deficiency induced anaemia and pregnancy are two of the largest causes of mild and moderate anaemia, some cases of severe anaemia may have serious underlying causes, which may affect a person’s quality of life. These include Beta Talassemia, Macrocytic Anaemia and other Chronic Diseases with permanent consequences.

Make your family’s morning intake of almonds a daily habit. Almond Board of California, hosted a panel discussion titled “Working Mother’s Dilemma in Ensuring the Family Health” at New Delhi, recently. Analysing and addressing the needs of working mothers, the discussion centred on the challenges that working women face in maintaining a healthy lifestyle not just for their families, but also their own.

In today’s fast paced life where women don several hats – as a mother, a wife, a caregiver, a daughter/ daughter – in – law or a colleague or superior, the panellists highlighted small and relevant changes that working women can incorporate with ease in their daily lifestyle and their family’s lifestyle as well to ensure cumulative positive outcomes.

Leading the discussion was global icon, Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra, Managing Director, Studio Aesthetic, Fitness and Pilates Expert, Madhuri Ruia, well-known diet consultant and nutritionist Sheela Krishnaswamy, and RJ Shezzi from Radio Mirchi who moderated the panel.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Madhu Chopra, Managing Director, Studio Aesthetic and Priyanka Chopra’s mother said, “Working mothers these days shoulder a lot of responsibility. For most families across India, the mother is the primary caregiver who has to ensure the family’s overall health. To offer that care to the entire family constantly, while managing long days at work too, it becomes important for a working mother to spend enough time in taking care of her own health, sleep and diet. A great way to add a daily dose of health to any working mother’s life is by adding a handful of almonds to one’s daily diet. Make your family’s morning intake of almonds a daily habit.

Pilates Expert and Diet & Nutrition Consultant Madhuri Ruia said, “While taking care of your children, your husband and in-laws and balancing it with pressures at work, it’s easy to forget about oneself. If not checked in time, prolonged neglect can result in exhaustion, irritability and even larger medical issues in the long run. However, a well-balanced diet, and regular exercise can go a long way in keeping young, working, urban mothers healthy. Almonds are a healthy source of energy to help keep you active and are a natural source of many essential nutrients like vitamin E, calcium, good fat, dietary fibres and plant protein which will help in maintaining good health.”

Nutritionist, Sheela Krishnaswamy said, “As more women join the workforce in India, I have come across a number of working mothers who feel like they aren’t doing enough to ensure their family’s health and well-being. A simple and yet important change that I always recommend to many working mothers, is being more alert about the kind of snacks their family consumes. Opting for healthier snacks not only helps in keeping hunger at bay, but also helps provide a more nutritious choice for your family’s overall health.”

For any working woman, finding the right balance between her work and the family’s well-being is of utmost important, and by acknowledging and incorporating small changes like adding nutritious snacks like almonds to the family’s diet is a small way to leading a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle.

The struggle with Hirsutism and its Ayurvedic Management. So, what you need to overcome these unwanted hairs is to look after your hormones. Balance your doshas and Agni. The healthy diet will help you much extend.

So common among women, yet the cause is unknown to us. And we are still creating theories, doing experiments in laboratories and fighting with this unknown bull. It just to women with no cause what so ever, and then your life change for forever. Form one doctor to another, from one medicine to another, the struggle continues. You got me right; I am talking about the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) – the puzzle of the century. For some women it is like a lifelong curse where they experience all the worst symptoms. Managing problems such as Irregular periods, or diabetes, or obesity, hair fall, acne and hirsutism (unwanted body hairs) is itself difficult and takes a whole life to manage them. Think about a person who has got it all at once. Many PCOS women say to me, ‘I do not know how many births I need to take to overcome such difficult issues’. Well, in this article I am going to talk about hirsutism in PCOS and how Ayurvedic medicines can help you.

Neither all women with unwanted hairs have PCOS, nor do all the PCOS women suffer with these unwanted hairs on their body. Studies says, almost 80% of women with high levels of androgens (male hormones) have PCOS. By the name PCOS women generally believe there is serious problem only in their ovaries. They don’t see the doctor unless the symptoms of PCOS start troubling them especially if it is something to do with their external beauty. Irregular cycles do not bother them as much as this particular symptom take over their self-esteem, make them depressed and anxious. And that troublesome symptom is ‘Hirsutism- unwanted excess growth of hairs over face, chest and tummy’. Hirsutism is medically defined as the presence of terminal coarse hairs in females in a male-like distribution due to excess androgen activity.

Let me tell you a story of one of my patients named Neela (imaginary name). Neela was in in her early 20’s when she visited me couple of months back. She was covering her head with a pink color silk scarf. I asked her, what brought you here to see me? Neela removed her scarf and showed me her chin and jaw line. ‘Look at this doctor, I have done it all to stop it but nothing is helping me to overcome these excess facial hairs. I feel terrible and ashamed’. I enquired in bit detail about Neela’s issue. She was not obese but definitely she had lot of fat around her tummy. I asked if she has been diagnosed with any medical issues, such as diabetes or PCOS?

She promptly said, ‘yes, I was diagnosed with PCOD (age of 15) right after one year I had my first cycle. My cycle was irregular with very less flow. I was told that it takes time for a cycle to settle due to hormonal changes in my body. I did not care about that as my cycle became regular slowly however, flow was anyway less only. But one day, I was shocked to see 2-3 long thick hairs on my chin. Also, I started visiting parlor for threading and waxing frequently than ever. I was sure something was not right. I went to a nearby doctor with the complaint of thick and dark hairs on my upper lips, side of the cheeks and over chin area, she said anxiously’. These were only visible hairs. She also had such masculine hairs over her other body parts, which were easy to hide.

I was given some pills to regularize my hormones and asked to do some diet and exercises, although I was not fat at all. I took those hormonal pills (OCP) for one year. I was hoping to recover as I could see some flow during cycles and that heavy hair growth were thinning down. It was time to celebrate. I thought I am out of this curse and I will get my beautiful face back. But, good things never last long. As soon as I discontinued the pills, my skin broke down. I got much thicker and heavier hairs over my chin and this time they spreaded although my jaw line. My mother took me to another doctor who diagnosed me with PCOS. I did not know what it initially. My mother thought I have got some serious problem. I was confused. Google came to help me understand it better. I remember, I had spent almost 1 week or two just reading about PCOS on internet. I was continuously asking myself, how on earth how got this problem. No one in my family had this. I accepted it as my bad karma and took medications given by the new doctor for 6 months. I was even bullied in my college for having such unnatural hair growth. I stopped all the medication and finally learned that there is no end to this. I concentrated on my carrier and forgot about PCOS. I even took some anti-androgen for 6 months with no better results. I will never forget those days. Leela stooped taking after saying this. She appeared frustrated and sad.

Looked like, Leela had finally accepted her defeat with PCOS. She just wanted some cosmetic relief with her facial hairs. I talked her about Ayurvedic concepts of looking at her health issues. I informed that Ayurveda does not look at an issue as a separate entity rather it takes a holistic approach considering you have got this issue and not just your body parts. You need healing and not just your face or ovaries. I asked, do you trust that Ayurvedic medicines would be helpful to you? She nodded quite positively. She said, I don’t have any other option. At least I will not have any side effects with these’. I asked her to come back tomorrow on empty stomach to check her nadi and then I can provide her remedies for her health issues. She was wondering why I need to check her nadi when she just wants to get rid of facial hairs and not PCOS. She asked doctor please give me some ointments or powders so I don t see theses hairs ever again. The quick solution is what everyone wants. Who wants to suffer from an illness for so long? Fair enough but there is a way to heal and not just to fix, I firmly advised her.

She agreed and came to me next day morning 9 am. I thought she would not come back considering I may take long time to heal her. Leela said, the only thing that bothers me more than anything is these facial hairs. I go to beauty parlor twice-thrice in a month to get a wax done. It is very shame full some times when my friends points towards to my chin and get curious to know if there is any wrong with me. I have also taken laser treatment but that did not help me to get my feminine face back, moreover I cannot afford laser, electrolysis and expensive hormones. Because of this facial hairs my relations friends and family is challenged due to myself low self-esteem. More over who will marry a girl with a beard and mustache. Please help me with Ayurveda. I have read all your articles and have full trust in you, she said with confident.

I do not know what was changed in Leela in one day. I checked her Nadi and examined her as per Ayurvedic parameters. History taking is always important which describe both how the patients is and how the disease is. For Leela, it was severe Kapha and Vata imbalance. Her Pitta was too low, Agni was weak and lot of Ama (toxins) was collected in her gut. Leela was opened for the treatment. I explained her that she needs Panchakaram. This will help her to clean her body with abnormal toxins (AMA), support her Agni though Deepana and Pachana and then will start internal medication. After 45 days of cleansing (Panchakarma) , I gave her medicines which contained herbs such as harida, tulasi, ashwagandha, shatavari, yastimadhu, sharapunkha, Jatamansi, tankana, Cinamon, fenugreek and tulasi , Yasti , Shatavari , Gokshura, Varuna and guggulu. I also prepared a powder and oil for her to apply externally on her hair follicles of chin and jaw line after she waxes them which helped to reduce the thickness and growth of hairs. She took the treatment for 1 year with satisfied results, slowly I discontinued few herbs and she was able to manage her symptoms effectively than before with more positive outlook towards PCOS.

This is not the only story I have. Many young girls are now suffering with this issue. At times, I have seen them complaining about such abnormal facial hairs since they get mature. Well, that is serious agony. Also think about a young hard working professional who just got a high profile job in a reputed company is struggling to keep her face ‘hair free’. And it seems her life will almost end if she does not wax or thread those long hairs over her chin. No one to blame!

You may already know is that this is all because of high levels of Androgens (Male hormone) in your body or so called ‘too much active’ testosterone. Androgens are known to be responsible for promoting hair cycles among men and women. Males generally have high levels of androgen and thus have larger hair follicles- mustache and beards etc. Every woman needs male hormone in their body to trigger their female hormone – estrogen to work efficiently. But if this male hormone is excess then that is where women start feeling symptoms of being ‘masculine’ – belly fat, hard skin, hair fall, growth of men like hairs over body and evens some develop deep voice like men.

For most women with PCOS this male hormone levels are higher than normal. Doctor may recommend a simple blood test and may find that your free testosterone levels are high in your blood. However, hirsutism can be present with normal ovulatory function and normal androgens level. High levels of free testosterone in your body prevent ovulation and that’s why you may not be getting pregnant if you are trying. If you are diabetic then you have got to work on that too as insulin too worsen the male hormone levels.

How to reduce androgens in female naturally in ayurveda – Ayurvedic Management

Ayurveda talks about Atiloma and Pushpaghni Jatharani which have symptoms like Leela explained. Acharya Kashyapa has given very precise description of Pushpaghni Jatiharini, which is almost having the symptoms of PCOS as told by modern science. Well, I am not comparing the two distinct sciences but trying to find a bridge where you can come to an agreement with me. The reference goes like this-

“Vritha pushpam tu yo nri yathakal prapashyati. Sthulalomashganda vpushpaghni sa api revati” (Ka S.K.6/32-33)

It is curable. Woman menstruate in time but it is useless (vyathpushpa i.e anovulatory cycle). She has corpulent and hairy cheeks –hirsutism; may be due to hyperandrogenism.

So what you need to overcome these unwanted hairs is to look after your hormones. Balance your doshas and Agni. The healthy diet will help you much extend. Use the anti-androgen that causes unwanted body hairs in PCOS. If you are obese then lose some weight. Check your blood sugar levels, if you are insulin resistance. Eat healthy food and excise’s to improve your insulin and glucose control. This will help your ovaries to reduce the male hormones’ secretion.

Let me talk more about Almonds here, research says that they tend to reduce the potency of male hormones-testosterone. Again, many women with PCOS have high levels of male hormones in their body. So, eat 5-6 almonds soaked the previous night and munch on them. For external application- apply haridra churna and chickpeas flour together on the hair follicles.

What your food should have- The best thing to start your day is to have Vata-Kapha balancing Ayurvedic herbal kashaya (tea).

Your breakfast should have Kapha balancing foods, such as Barley or Horse gram soup, Whole wheat Roti, Ragi, and 1 handful of nuts/seeds. Avoid- fermented food items such as dosa, idli, vada and white rice early mornings.

Kapha balancing snack- buttermilk is best with ginger, also can have 1 apple or papaya.

Lunch- should have small portion of brow\n rice, lots of veggies or meat or sea food and salads.

Vata balancing snack– in the evening it is best to the herbal tea again or handful of nuts/seeds or just 1 glass of milk.

Dinner- should have lot of different vegetables and roti if required. Also can have cooked brown rice, quinoa, porridge, low sugar baked beans, red kidney beans, lentils or chick peas. Avoid having rice and heavy meals in the night.

Remember beauty doesn’t live in the physical appearance, it lies within you. It is more important to understand how do one feel rather then we look.

Woman has to maintain the energy – Ayurveda has solutions. Women- keep family positively energised. In Bharath woman has been respected in her different phases of life. She represents positive energy.

Come on women!!! Let us regain and maintain our energy to keep our family positively energised. From the beginning of the mankind, in our country Bharath-Hindhustan, a woman has been respected in her different phases of life, from her childhood till her last breath. She represents positive energy. We find this in the form of Shiv-Shakthi representing power to celebrate life festival. This form indicates the happy & healthy rapport with everything and everyone on this universe. She is complimentary other half of a man. Universally she has been designated with ankha to depict feminine as a respect & reverence for a woman. This symbol represents generation/soul/life/eternity. Genetically she has two xx chromosomes. She has powerful, personal energy & instincts. As she represents energy/ agni tatva, she is named as fire. The reproductive organ uterus has important and powerful effect on mental life of a woman. No surgeon can successfully maneuver in this labyrinth of psychological & psychosexual emotions. Thus she plays multifaceted role single handedly.

In Ayurveda there is a principle called ‘Loka Desham Idam Deha Desham’ – which means humans are the epitome of this universe. In simple, the visible, non-visible materials/dravyas(matter)/things present in the universe is also present in non-living & living things including human beings. However, in miniature form universe is present in human body. Therefore, we need to be in good co-ordination with the universe or nature. As our acharya Sushruta has genueinly stated that swastha means balance of dosh, dhatu, mala, agni (physically & biologically) and prasannata ( liveliness/enthusism/satiation) of soul (Atma) mind (manas). In this present era, as the universe is being polluted, so also humans are polluted mentally, physically & biologically, leading to unhealthy conditions or situations, due to their food habits or living style. Due to this pollution and tensed environment, her thesaurus is increased. In playing & maintaining the different role, her energy is decreasing gradually & she feels defeated in her surroundings. However, her tasks are increasing day by day, along with this she has to maintain her pretty smiling face.

In this regard to regain energy/boost up energy-our ancient science from the beginning of the mankind – Ayurveda has provided ‘swasthasya swasthya rakshanam’ – that is maintaining the health of a healthy individual, as a primary principle of treatment. There are infinite number of treatments-samskaras to keep the woman in healthy conditions biologically & mentally, in her different phases of her life. In our S.D.M. Institute of Ayurveda & Hospital-Anchepalya, Kumbalgodu Post, Banglore-Mysore Highway, Banglore, these facilities of different treatments-samskaras are available. To begin with Pre-Menarche samskaras-for young girls (between 8-16yrs) before attaining menstruation- for a healthy beginning of reproductive life, Post-Menarche samskara- young girls (between 12-18yrs) after attaining menstruation- to regularize menstrual cycle & to prevent PCOD/PCOS condition, Garbhadana samskara- for a married couple to conceive a healthy child by choice & not by chance naturally just like sowing a healthy seed in fertile land with proper care and plan, Garbhini samskara- ante-natal care that is care during pregnancy to have healthy child and the mother, Sutika samskara- treatment and care after the birth of a child, along with beauty enhancing treatment modalities ( beauty care, yogasanas, mudra pranayama) & many more treatments, during all the phases of her life are available.
