The firm will use its patented platform Tubelet<sup>TM</sup> with an intention to reduce <strong>Maternity Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality rate (IMR)</strong> in the country.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Grand Challenges Explorations &#8211; India (GCE-India) Round V,</strong> is a PMU-BIRAC initiative in partnership with the Government of India’s department of biotechnology, the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation and IKP Knowledge Park. It identifies, funds and nurture revolutionary ideas that address global health challenges. The India-only chapter of the larger Grand Challenges Explorations is managed by the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation. MicroGO’s Safe Delivery-Healthy child or SAVED will be an integrated solution for providing safe delivery and safe water, and<strong> ensuring sanitation for the new born babies</strong> during their formative years, upto 6 months.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">MicroGO’s “<strong>Safe Delivery, Healthy Child (SAVED)”</strong> will be created using our <strong>Tubelet<sup>TM</sup></strong> Platform technology that is designed to deliver pure form of disinfecting agents without contaminating the exterior with any by-products.” It is an integrated solution that will not only provide hygienic environment during birth but also a carry along kit provided to the mothers that maintains hygienic conditions for the infant and the new mother for next 6 months. Based on its <strong>Tubelet<sup>TM</sup></strong> technology, MicroGO has also developed <strong>GO<em>pure</em><sup>TM</sup></strong>&#8211; water disinfection solution which disinfects water without producing any disinfection byproducts like Trihalomethanes that are Class II carcinogens or without releasing any hazardous chemical waste. GO<em>steri</em><sup>TM</sup> is yet another product by MicroGO that uses the technology for portable sterilisation and on-the-go. It requires no power, no water to sterilise the surgical instruments.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Commenting on receiving the grant, <strong>Dr.Rachna Dave, Founder of MicoGO</strong> said, “India’s infant mortality rate (IMR) fell to 33 per 1,000 live births in 2017 from 34 the year before, and is inching closer towards the sustainable development goal of bringing it down to 25 or less by 2030. Meanwhile, the maternal mortality rate (MMR) has fallen 20 points over the past decade, from 53 per 1,000 births in 2007 to 33 in 2017, according to the sample registration system. But even though the death rates are coming down, many infants are still dying of unavoidable causes like <strong><span style="color: #0000ff;"><a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://healthvision.in/the-hygiene-conundrum-obsession-for-health-or-utter-disregard/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">hygiene issues.</a></span></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://www.microgo.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>MicroGO</strong> </span></a>is a Chennai based R&amp;D based manufacturing company founded in 2016 that focusses on hygiene and sustainability.
