The theme of Patient Safety Day campaign is to raise awareness about the importance of addressing health worker safety as a prerequisite to patient safety.

Healthcare Facilities across the world need to follow the World Patient Safety day  2020 theme—Safe Health Workers, Safe Patients, as a mission. Since the start of the pandemic, we at Nanavati Hospital have ensured the safety of every single healthcare worker by providing proper Protective Personal Equipment (PPEs), a rotation routine to allow proper rest, diet and nutrition, adopting a unidirectional flow of patients and staff, isolating the visitors with physical distancing, sanitizing the facilities and making necessary structural and technological changes.

Constant training of the healthcare workers, in line with fresh clinical evidence on infection control protocols is a necessity for healthcare institutions today. Most importantly, flow of adequate and transparent information to patients is of paramount importance to ensure the miscommunication doesn’t give rise to any panic in the society.
