The Medical education system over the years has been one of the prime concerns of the people in India. There are only a few Government Medical seats available in India. Currently, the MBBS seats in India are 70,978 in 529 colleges. Out of this, 269 are Government colleges offering 35,688 seats while the other 260 colleges are private colleges offering 35,290 seats.

Few of the students manage to clear the entrance tests as it is one of the toughest National Level Medical entrance exams. Others who cannot clear the tests are looking for other options. The Foreign medical institutes pave the way for Indian Students to pursue MBBS from Abroad. Many Top Medical Universities of Abroad offer Medical courses at an affordable cost with a high-quality education to the students.

Ample opportunity for jobs in any part of the world

The students who are studying MBBS from Abroad gets ample opportunity to apply for jobs in any part of the world. The admissions to get into the MBBS Abroad or any other Medical courses are easy. The students don’t have to appear for a university entrance test. Once the students clear the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), they can be directly admitted to the University for MBBS from Abroad.

There are some universities which accept admissions without NEET qualification as well. Some of the countries that offer the program of MBBS Abroad are Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and many more. The Universities in these countries are recognized by the major Medical organizations of the world.

NEET is one of the toughest exam students have ever face. Due to Covid-19, this year has even made it worrisome for the students to go outside for their higher studies. So, we are conducting Pan-India seminars to spread awareness about the benefit of studying MBBS abroad for students. We are trying to provide a high standard of medical education to our students abroad.

Students who want to study MBBS from abroad gets ample opportunity to apply to universities or any medical institutions. To take admissions to the top universities of the world, students need to fulfill the eligibility criteria. I believe the results will be pleasing for all the students and all the best to students for their future.

Higher Cut offs are expected in NEET this year, results will be announced soon. It’s the best decision to announce the results as early as possible to avoid further delay in the academic session.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is one of the highest competitive examinations which open doors to some of most prestigious colleges for medical students. Since the day Union Education Minister Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal has announced the dates of results, this news is keeping all the aspirants awake at night.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the NEET Examinations were put on hold until further notice by the government but after a prolonged discussion in the supreme court on the conduct of the NEET Examination, it went smoothly with compulsory measures of COVID-19 on September 13. All the necessary precautions were taken by the government in all the centers. A total of 85-90 percent of 15.97 lakh candidates appeared in the examinations and those students who were not able to appear due to being in containment zones or being tested positive for covid-19, they have another opportunity to give the test.

Cut off for this year are likely to be higher

The results of the examination will be announced on 16th October and the cut off for this year are likely to be higher. Earlier the results were to be announced on the 12th of October but after the government decision, the second exam has been conducted on October 14. The one who could not appear in the first exam gets a chance to appear in the second examination. The main reason for the cut off being high can be the lockdown because students got much time to prepare themselves for exams. Also, this year the strength of test givers was more as compared to the previous year.

After analyzing the examination paper the experts state that this year’s paper was very easy as compared to the previous year. The NEET Examination is the most important examination in a student’s life and this year has even made it worrisome for the students. Now the results of NEET are to be announced on October 16. The main criteria on which the cut off will be decided is the number of candidates and the difficulty level of the newspaper and the things which are in favor of the students this year. The paper was easy and the physics section was easier as compared to last year so it’s likely to be higher this year.

Also, NTA has kept the relaxation for the students this year due to the pandemic. The general category students need to score 50 percentile and the SC, ST & OBC categories require 40 percentile to qualify for the NEET exam. It’s the best decision to announce the results as early as possible to avoid further delay in the academic session. I believe the results will be pleasing for all the aspirants and all the best to them for their future.

E-Learning is not suitable solution in the long run.The pandemic has transformed from the traditional learning methods to one driven by technology. It is also equally important to keep in mind the health and well-being of the students.

As a measure to contain the spread of novel COVID-19 schools and colleges have been shut down temporarily. It is nearly more than four months now and there is still no certainty that when the schools and colleges will reopen. In terms of education, this is the most crucial time of the year. Board examination, entrance tests for various colleges, nursery school admissions, among other exams and assessments are held during this time and are deeply affected. The impact of COVID-19 will be there for the long term in the education sector and there are a lot of difficulties faced by the people.

From the traditional offline teaching to teaching online:

Due to the sudden outbreak of COVID-19, there has been a shift in the education system, from the traditional offline teaching to teaching online. There are various challenges faced by the learners as well as from the educator’s point of view. Both teachers and students are still in the process of getting acquainted with the new form of learning and teaching and the real challenge is the reliability of these e-learning classes. Engaging students and making them involved in the teaching-learning process is a challenge for the institutions. One of the main problems that arise is that not everyone is getting access to E-learning classes.

There are only a handful of schools that have adopted online teaching methods. For some, they can simply not afford it. Parents are also complaining about the increased screen time of their children which cannot be avoided. Another problem is the internet stability. Students might miss out on their classes because of poor internet connection and the remote areas do not have an internet connection in the first place. It is not as easy as it seems, E-learning requires a lot of time, patience, buying of equipment, having a stable internet connection, maintaining the equipment, and developing a habit of sitting in front of the screen for long hours.

Do keep in mind the health and well-being of the students:

Amidst this crisis, there are no longer any alternatives left but for students to adapt to the new learning culture, as soon as possible. A new approach is required for the long-term management of the crisis and building a stable education system. It is important to increase the effectiveness of E-learning. Efforts should be taken by the institutions to make sure that there is digital equity and every teacher and student should have the accessibility to the required resources.

Administration and faculty members should take necessary measures for improving e-teaching quality to help with better learning of students during the lockdown. So, a much-needed change and innovation are required. It is also equally important to keep in mind the health and well-being of the students. Needless to say, the pandemic has transformed from the traditional learning methods to one driven by technology. During and after the crisis, infrastructure needs to be so strong that it can provide unhindered services.

International flow of students could decrease in this pandemic times. There is a complete restriction on travel in nation or outside of it, so we can easily imagine that international flow of colleges and university students could decrease.

It is easy to anticipate that the international flow of college and university students will decline in the sight of both the political change inward and the new travel restrictions for public safety. According to Study Abroad counselors, the situation looks grim and might affect long term plans for many students. The Covid-19 safety precautions and travel constraints may not subside in time for a seamless flow for the international student that existed before the outbreak.

The reasons students and their parents pursued international education, and the value of studying in another country continues. The transfer of knowledge across national boundaries requires scientific expertise and the leadership capacity to unite people across many ethnic groups, languages, nations, communities and time zones. Leaders of the future in all fields must think globally and not be self-regarding to just think about the local students.

The strong political and economic ties between the two world’s most significant democracies is really important as this will create a huge opportunity for Indian students to study in an exchange program in the US. Last year India has sent over 2 lakh students from India to be educated in the US for an undergraduate degree or an internship.

Student exchange is a mutually beneficial proposition for all countries. It offers a mutually reinforcing cycle of advantages that come with increasing cooperation and coordination. Many of the Indian students who are excelling at different colleges and universities are citizens of both India and the respective country they are studying in. They are the truly cross-cultural bridge figures, fluent in both societies and the global economy, who will lead us into a promising future. Even if we need to pause while we fight the novel corona virus, we should not forget the importance of strengthening the educational ties.

For both the short and long-term, the success of the response efforts hinges on coordinated actions through effective and accountable partnerships. Due to Covid19 and health precautions for it restricted everyone to travel from outside of India. But we have to understand that it’s really important for India to connect Educational ties with another country like the US, Australia, or any other foreign country. Analyzing the situation of our health care department in Covid-19, we want our students to opt for medical as a career and gain great knowledge from foreign universities and for that we want our nation to build a hood of foreign relations with other countries.

Students studying in countries like the US have a great impact on their studies and practice as they gain more practical knowledge in colleges only. In the future, we need more doctors in India and for that, we have to send our students abroad studies. Political and economic ties between the two nations play a vital role in the educational collaboration between those two nations. With nations like the US, Australia, Canada, Germany, Russia, Georgia and Armenia we have good relations with their governments that backed off in our education system.

Practising medicine is among the most popular and reputed profession all over the world. Most Indian parents encourage their children to get into the medical profession. Medical profession is one of the evergreen career paths which never lost their charm among students. Every year approx 16 lac young talented students appear for NEET to fulfil their ambition of being doctor but due to limited opportunity and very tough competition only a few students get success in securing MBBS seat in India.

Apart from limited medical seats, the high tuition fee of private medical colleges every year force many students to give up on their dreams. To save these young dreams of Indian medical aspirants, Mediconation, India’s leading education consultancy is guiding students to get global opportunities to study MBBS. Team Mediconation is spreading awareness among students regarding pursuing MBBS abroad and connecting them with top medical universities around the globe.

There are many popular myths regarding MBBS abroad which often discourage guardians and students to opt for MBBS abroad. Students should have real information and authentic details about countries and universities before joining. People have general perception that studying MBBS abroad must be a costly affair which is not true. Studying MBBS abroad is 3 to 5 times cheaper than Indian private medical colleges.

Indian medical aspirants who decide to pursue MBBS abroad often get misguided by false information about the country or university. Most of the students do not know the criteria to choose right medical university and admission procedure.

Mediconation guide and assists students from choosing the right foreign medical university to complete the admission procedure. It provides complete pre-admission assistance(including university selection, visa assistance, travelling assistance, document verification, financial assistance etc) and post-admission assistance for the complete duration of course.

Geeta Jain, Founder of Mediconation says, “Today most of the medical aspirants are going Abroad for studies and it’s good because you can’t get such great opportunities and facilities at such low prices. And now after the provision of NEXT there’s absolutely no difference whether you are studying MBBS from abroad or India, every student has to qualify NEXT. Other countries are developed so the chances are high for a student to have ample job offers. We help parents and students to get admission in foreign medical universities in countries like Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Nepal, and many other countries. Choosing the right country and university to pursue MBBS abroad is a crucial decision for students, so I highly recommend that they should take it wisely and with expert guidance.
