<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">Coriander is an aromatic herbaceous plant grown for its fruit and leaves in kitchen gardens as well as a commercial crop. The seeds (fruit) of this crop are used as condiment and as a major constituent of curry powder. The seeds and leaves contain essential oil rich in &#8220;linalool&#8217; which accounts for the aromatic character of the plant. The leaves are used as salad and are rich source of vitamins C and A. Used in the ailments like dyspepsia, flatulence and piles. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">The oil is in good demand in other countries for flavouring liquors like gin and beverages and a variety of food products. </span><span style="color: #000000;">Coriander can be cultivated on almost all types ot soils provided sufficient organic manure is applied under irrigated conditions. Unirrigated crop may be cultivated on heavy soils which have better water retention capacity. Generally, it could be grown effectively on both light sandy and heavy loam soils.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;">1. Gargling the leaf juice or chewing the leaves is good for stomatitis.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">2. Vomiting with indigestion- two spoons of the juice mixed with buttermilk is to be taken twice daily.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">3. As it contains Iron, if taken with honey, the juice of the leaves improves the haemoglobin in anaemic patients.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">4. In nasal bleeding, the juice of the leaf can be used as nasal drop.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">5. Juice with   candy,   if   taken   controls   the   undiagnosed giddiness.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">6. A glass of buttermilk mixed with fresh leaf is very good for digestion. It is to be taken after meal.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">7. Chewing habit of the leaf prevents dental caries.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">8. Honey with the leaf juice, if taken daily early morning improves immunity.</span></p>
