UK Will be the next pivot country for medical education after China. Studying in the UK is the most transformational and life-changing experience for anyone .

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected educational systems worldwide, leading to the near-total closures of schools, universities and colleges. Indian Students who were planning to study abroad after their schooling was confused when the pandemic hit the world. In almost every country the coronavirus has impacted higher education plans. According to the report, while higher education institutions might adapt sooner or later to the e-learning practices, it might take a relatively long time to come to terms with the drastic changes in student mobility for higher education.

Most Indian students now prefer the UK instead of China

When it comes to MBBS, China has better medical education infrastructure and facilities with affordable fees when compared to other foreign countries. Most Indian students prefer china for Medical Education but due to Covid-19, students prefer the UK instead of China. Yes, the UK will be the next pivot country for Medical Education after china. Medical education in the United Kingdom includes educational activities involved in the education and training of medical doctors in the United Kingdom, from entry-level training through to continuing education of qualified specialists.

A typical outline of the medical education pathway is presented there. However, training schemes vary and different pathways may be available. Entry requirements typically range from five GCSEs at grades A* or A, including English and maths, and at least a grade B in Science. You also need a minimum of three A levels at grades AAA or AAB in chemistry and either biology, physics or maths, plus another academic subject. English language tests are also mandatory for most universities.

One of the most important considerations while choosing a foreign university is the job potential upon completion. The UK colleges and universities score highly on this parameter. Studying in the UK is the most transformational and life-changing experience for anyone but now in post-Covid-19, things are getting changed for good and now universities are again starting their admissions. Also if we will see this economically, many universities in the UK, US, and Australia are offering admissions and new courses in their universities.

The UK is a welcoming place where international students can immerse themselves in an exciting life. Education plays a vital role in the shaping of your life through planning can help you with studying at your dream university in the UK. The education sector will now be more technology-driven blended with the audiovisual classes. The cost of living will be a bit higher now as compared to earlier times. The regular social distancing and sanitization norms will be followed everywhere.

Higher Cut offs are expected in NEET this year, results will be announced soon. It’s the best decision to announce the results as early as possible to avoid further delay in the academic session.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is one of the highest competitive examinations which open doors to some of most prestigious colleges for medical students. Since the day Union Education Minister Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal has announced the dates of results, this news is keeping all the aspirants awake at night.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the NEET Examinations were put on hold until further notice by the government but after a prolonged discussion in the supreme court on the conduct of the NEET Examination, it went smoothly with compulsory measures of COVID-19 on September 13. All the necessary precautions were taken by the government in all the centers. A total of 85-90 percent of 15.97 lakh candidates appeared in the examinations and those students who were not able to appear due to being in containment zones or being tested positive for covid-19, they have another opportunity to give the test.

Cut off for this year are likely to be higher

The results of the examination will be announced on 16th October and the cut off for this year are likely to be higher. Earlier the results were to be announced on the 12th of October but after the government decision, the second exam has been conducted on October 14. The one who could not appear in the first exam gets a chance to appear in the second examination. The main reason for the cut off being high can be the lockdown because students got much time to prepare themselves for exams. Also, this year the strength of test givers was more as compared to the previous year.

After analyzing the examination paper the experts state that this year’s paper was very easy as compared to the previous year. The NEET Examination is the most important examination in a student’s life and this year has even made it worrisome for the students. Now the results of NEET are to be announced on October 16. The main criteria on which the cut off will be decided is the number of candidates and the difficulty level of the newspaper and the things which are in favor of the students this year. The paper was easy and the physics section was easier as compared to last year so it’s likely to be higher this year.

Also, NTA has kept the relaxation for the students this year due to the pandemic. The general category students need to score 50 percentile and the SC, ST & OBC categories require 40 percentile to qualify for the NEET exam. It’s the best decision to announce the results as early as possible to avoid further delay in the academic session. I believe the results will be pleasing for all the aspirants and all the best to them for their future.

COVID has impacted international businesses and students aspiring to study abroad. Now the threat of 2nd wave of COVID-19 is impacting international businesses and many students aspiring to study abroad are going to postpone their study abroad plans because of international travel restrictions.

Due to the novel COVID-19 there has been a huge loss of human lives and the impact has also been deeply felt by the global economy. The COVID-19 virus is having an impact on all businesses around the world as it is not restricted to a few sectors but is evident in all sectors of the economy. Reduced foreign trade, declining global PMIs, and deep GDP cuts in this year imply that we have entered the predicted recessionary period.

Businesses and organizations are taking strategic steps to keep physical contact to a minimum and keep the operations running. India is a major trading partner with several countries across the globe. The gap between the country’s imports and exports has declined steadily in recent months. We are likely to see numerous trends that emerge in the way business is conducted during the pandemic.

A major setback has been seen in the education sector as well. There is a total transition from the traditional offline learning systems to the online learning system and for many students. A huge impact is also seen on the Indian students who planned to study abroad. Many students are going to postpone their study abroad plans because of international travel restrictions. This is a very crucial time for students who usually plan to go abroad for their higher studies as students just got done with their board exams and this is the time they start short listing the universities and colleges they want to get enrolled into.

Sooner or later the higher education institutions might adapt to the e-learning practices. The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic will continue to bring about vast improvements in teaching and learning practices at all educational levels. Studying abroad requires a lot of planning, both financially as well as mentally and because of the uncertainty of the situation right now, studying abroad does not seem to be a wise decision for many students.

During these tough times it is utmost important for students to get emotional support and guidance from their family, teachers, and career counselors. Planning to study abroad is a long process and this decision cannot be taken overnight. For most Indian students the pursuit to go abroad begins many years before the actual year they get enrolled. Counselors should help the students to explore more viable options. The situation is grim and might affect the long term plans for many of the students because many students are having financial issues as it is an unfortunate time.

Indian doctors bank upon foreign medical education sites than Indian ones for knowledge enhancement. According to the study by Doceree, top 10 foreign doctor-only medical education websites from the US, the UK and Canada have 20 million login sessions from India in June this year.

New Delhi, 23 July, 2020: Doctors continuously need to keep themselves updated with regard to medical advancement, new research and latest techniques in the field, and Indian doctors throng foreign doctor-only medical education websites to keep their knowledge base enhanced than Indian ones, reveals an analysis carried out by Doceree, the Programmatic Physician Engagement Platform, using a leading international web analytics platform.

The data, analyzed for June this year, shows that of the 432 million login sessions of top 10 foreign doctor-only medical education websites from the US, the UK and Canada, a staggering 20 million were from India. During the same span, India’s top 6 doctor-only medical education websites recorded a dismal 43K sessions.

The web analytics site could not record statistics of other Indian medical education websites as it does not capture data if it is below 5K. India has been bullish on digital healthcare after the Narendra Modi Government put a thrust upon taking the country on the digital path ever since it resumed office in 2014. However, the data paints a very bleak picture when Indian doctors do not have credible and informative Indian digital websites to turn to for knowledge enhancement.

Dr. Harshit Jain, Founder and CEO, Doceree.

“A push towards digital should not imply that it is only for consumers, it must also serve our doctors. At a time when digital healthcare is booming in the country, doctors too should have Indian platforms in the digital space which they can explore to update their medical knowledge. As our analysis suggests Indian doctors majorly turn to foreign sites to keep themselves updated, it is indicative that Indian websites are lagging way behind websites in the western countries. Though disheartening, it can be seen as an opportunity for Indian players to come up with quality medical education platforms not only for our doctors, but also for doctors from across the globe,” said Dr. Harshit Jain, Founder and CEO, Doceree.

Doctors consider medical education websites essential for they provide them critical information, including industry best practices, researches, new medical techniques and innovations in the medical field. “One of the reasons for high engagement on foreign sites could be relevancy of content. Doctors prefer visiting sites that has rich and engaging content around topics of their interest and expertise,” said Dr Rajiv Kovil, India’s leading Diabetologist and Founder Member and Secretary of United Diabetes Forum (UDF).

The analysis alarmingly also shows that the 520 million login sessions of top 15 medical education websites in the US, the UK and Canada in the month of June was much higher than the combined 943K login sessions of top 15 doctor-only Indian digital platforms such as medical education, telemedicine and doctor networking sites.

Corona virus is ruling everything, from economy to education. Many students might have planned to study abroad this year but now it’s been on stake due to this global pandemic of Corona virus. There’s a complete lockdown in India and other countries. Due to this various countries have cancelled the classes and visa of the foreign exchange students keeping covid19 situation in mind.

This situation has adversely affected our education system and now students are scared that they’ll ever be able to study abroad or not? Many countries have already restricted entry at their borders, and only nationals and permanent residents are allowed to come to India unless there are important reasons. This situation will affect foreign students in autumn 2020, but everyone should follow developments closely.

Many students have already got admission or are already studying in other countries but are now shifting to online classes and there’s no certainty of the date when this will be over. Over 20,400 foreign nationals have been evacuated in the middle of the Corona virus crisis and thousands of Indian students from abroad have been brought back. Lockdown is essential and this situation might look very worse right now and may affect students’ chances to study abroad this year .

Viewing the situation, the demand for medical course in India will increase in high. It has been observed that the choice of the medical stream has increased among the prosperous students which increases the demand resulting in the fee and cost of management and self-aided seats in the medical stream will go in its peak which will proportionally increase the students willing to study abroad. Experts predict a downfall in demand for countries like China, Ukraine, Philippines and increase in the market of other countries which are less affected by Covid-19 (like Armenia zero mortality will be the first preference for Indian students).

This situation is very serious in every country and there’s a complete shutdown down everything. All the schools and colleges are not into action including our country and this will take a long time to get normal. Applying for studying abroad this year is not a good option because the Indian government will not permit them to travel abroad until this situation subsides. Students should delay their plans but shouldn’t cancel them and may opt for next year. There’s no such announcement made by the government on the suspension of foreign studies though right now it looks like a nightmare.
