In his presentation on 22^nd January, Dr. Gautam Sen, Chairman and Founder of Healthspring highlighted the good deeds and praised the spirit of healthcare workers amidst the pandemic. He also applauded the government’s efforts towards the virus and shared his expectations on the disruptive changes in curriculum for potential talent in medicine.

Bengaluru, 9th July 2020: Healthspring, leaders in providing primary healthcare has received approval from the designated authorities to start testing for detecting corona virus antibodies. These tests, suited for high risk groups like immuno-compromised patients, individuals in containment zone, health care workers, amongst others from the essential services group; has the specificity greater than 99.8% and sensitivity is of 100% (14 Days post-PCR confirmation).

The test is a uniquely designed, high quality serology test for identification of antibodies developed in a person’s body. These antibodies indicate that the individuals may have had COVID-19 in the past and has developed antibodies that protects them from reinfection.The tests will be available at 15 clinics of Healthspring in Mumbai and Pune. Each test will charged at INR 1250*.The kit has been approved by ICMR for testing seroprevalence studies in India. The test is also CE-IVD certified and has received USFDA emergency use authorization (EUA). There is no cross-reactivity to common cold, HIV and other corona viruses.
