Drumstick leaves recipe – Almost in all parts of India people use drumstick in preparing sambar, curry and other Indian dishes. The leaves and flowers can also be used in various preparations as a good source of vitamin A.

  • Sambar: Cook tur dal. Add cut pieces of drumstick, grated coconut and tomatoes. Season with mustard, dals, red chilies and cumin seeds. The curry or sambar can be prepared using potato also.
  • Drumstick leaves curry: Fresh leaves, onion and green chilies are cut and roasted along with seasoning in mustard. It can also be prepared along with any of the sprouted grams. For extra taste lemon juice can be added.

  • Drumstick flower curry: The flowers are cut and along with tur dal or any other vegetables the curry can be prepared.
